Celebrate the festive season with a smoothie that's both delicious and packed with nutrients to support your training. This recipe balances sweet, tart, and creamy flavours to create a treat any combat sports athlete will love.


Ingredients:

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred milk)

- 1 frozen banana

- 1/2 cup frozen cherries

- 1/4 cup fresh cranberries (or 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce without added sugar)

- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

- 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

- 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- A small pinch of ground cloves

- A small pinch of ground nutmeg

- Whipped coconut cream (optional, for garnish)

- Dark chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)


Instructions:

1. Combine almond milk, frozen banana, frozen cherries, cranberries, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, vanilla extract, honey, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a blender.

2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

3. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding a little more honey or agave syrup.
