Aggression Thai Boxing Recap

Saturday night at the Mansfield Tavern in Brisbane delivered all the excitement and drama that combat sports fans live for, and Pretty Top Team was right in the thick of it. Competing on the stacked Aggression Thai Boxing card, our fighters left it all in the ring, showcasing their heart, skill, and determination.

Cameron Sheahan Kicks Off the Night with a Dominant Performance

First up, Cameron Sheahan took to the undercard in an amateur Muay Thai bout. Facing a taller and skilled opponent, Cameron didn’t let the challenge faze him. The first round was competitive, with both fighters exchanging strikes and testing each other’s skills. However, as the fight progressed, Cameron proved why he’s a rising star. Biting down on his mouthguard, he unleashed his relentless drive and took control, dominating the final two rounds. His hard work and grit earned him a well-deserved unanimous decision victory.

Caleb Curley Battles in the Main Event

The main event saw Caleb Curley stepping into the spotlight, fighting for the prestigious WMC Pro Queensland Title. His opponent, Ashton Johnston of All Styles Gym in Ipswich, brought a wealth of experience and toughness to the ring. Caleb displayed his technical mastery, using his full arsenal of Muay Thai weapons to control the first three rounds and impress the judges.

Unfortunately, the tide turned in the fourth round when a heavy right hand from Ashton landed. Prioritising Caleb’s safety above all else, Coach Paul Hosking made the difficult but necessary decision to throw in the towel, ending the fight.

We extend our congratulations to Ashton Johnston and the All Styles team on a fantastic performance.

Proud of Our Fighters

While the results didn’t fully go our way, we couldn’t be prouder of Cameron and Caleb. Both fighters showcased incredible heart and skill, embodying the spirit of Pretty Top Team. Nights like these highlight the highs and lows of Muay Thai, and they serve as invaluable experiences for our fighters to grow and improve.

Thank you to the event promoter Adam, the opponents, and their teams for a night of great sportsmanship and competition. And a huge thank you to our supporters—your energy and encouragement mean everything to us.

Stay tuned for what’s next from Pretty Top Team—our fighters are just getting started!
