1. When are the classes? The dedicated BAF classes are held from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the initial 8 weeks. For the final 6 weeks, classes will be extended to 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Additionally, you have the flexibility to join any other class on the schedule if you desire.
2. Do I need to have martial arts experience? Not at all! The Build A Fighter program is specifically tailored for individuals with little to no prior martial arts experience. Our structured approach ensures beginners can thrive.
3. Is it mandatory to compete at the end of the 14-week program? While the program is designed to culminate with an exhibition match at our B2F Exhibition show, participation in the fight is optional. If you decide not to compete after reaching the halfway point (week 8), you can still benefit from the comprehensive training experience without the pressure of fighting.
4. Do I need to be in great shape already? No, the program is designed to help you achieve peak fitness over the final 7 weeks. We'll progressively elevate your fitness level throughout the course.
5. Can anyone enroll in the program? Absolutely! The Build A Fighter Challenge employs unique structured methods and systems to ensure that anyone, regardless of their background or fitness level, can transition from a novice to feeling confident and comfortable in the ring.
6. How many participants are in the program? We limit each Build A Fighter Challenge to a group of 20 students. This ensures a focused and personalised training experience for each participant.
7. Do I need to attend every single class? While we encourage attendance in as many classes as possible, we understand life can be busy. If you happen to miss a session, your coach will provide you with drills to catch up. Additionally, our online library of tutorials, the Fighting Pretty platform, is at your disposal for extra practice during your free time.
8. What equipment do I need for the program? To fully participate in the Build A Fighter Challenge, you'll need basic training gear such as boxing gloves, hand wraps, shin guards, and a mouthguard. Our team will guide you through the process of selecting the right gear and can recommend reputable stores. We have a package that includes all the gear you need. All packages include a gym t-shirt and Thai shorts.
9. Can I join the program if I have a busy schedule? We understand that schedules can be hectic. The Build A Fighter Challenge is designed to accommodate a range of lifestyles. You have access to our full schedule, meaning if you are unable to attend a class on evening, you can make up the missed class another day/time.
10. Will I receive personalised guidance and feedback? Absolutely. Our experienced coaches are dedicated to your growth and success. You'll receive personalised guidance, technique corrections, and feedback throughout the program to ensure you're making progress and refining your skills.

13. What happens during the exhibition match? The exhibition match at the end of the program provides participants with the opportunity to showcase their progress and skills. It's a friendly environment designed to help you experience the thrill of a fight without the high-stakes pressure. It is a padded fight with 3 x 2 minute rounds.
14. Is nutrition guidance provided during the challenge? Nutrition plays a crucial role in your performance and progress. Our coaches will offer guidance on nutrition principles, but if you'd like to improve your nutrition and work with a professional, you will have the opportunity is work with two nutritionists Zoe Martin and Tyler Hope.
15. The thought of fighting makes me anxious, but I'd like to give it a go. What do you suggest to help with nerves? Ask any fighter what the hardest part of fighting is and guarantee they'll say the mental side of it. It's normal to be anxious. In fact, that nervous feeling you feel is actually adrenaline. It's your body's way of preparing you. We are lucky enough to exclusively work with a fight therapist Richard Hart. We are the only Muay Thai gym in Australia to work with him! You will have the opportunity to work with Rich during the challenge. Rich works with all our fighters to help them with their mindset during training, fighting and everyday life!
