Hygiene Non Negotiables for Training at Pretty Top Team

At Pretty Top Team, we take hygiene seriously to ensure a safe, clean, and respectful training environment for everyone. Whether you're hitting the bags, rolling on the mats, or sparring with a partner, maintaining good hygiene is essential. Here are the non-negotiable hygiene rules every member must follow:

1. Do Not Train If You're Sick or Injured

If you’re feeling unwell or recovering from an injury, stay home and rest. Training while sick puts your teammates at risk, and pushing through injuries can lead to long-term issues.

2. Cover Open Cuts or Do Not Train

Open wounds are an infection risk for you and your training partners. Ensure any cuts or scrapes are properly covered, or sit out until they heal.

3. Shower Before Training

Arriving fresh to class is a simple way to show respect to your teammates. A quick shower before training ensures you're clean and ready to go.

4. Shower Immediately After Training

Post-training hygiene is just as important as pre-training hygiene. Showering right after class helps prevent skin infections and keeps you feeling fresh.

5. Clean Your Gear Every Day

Your gloves, shin guards, and training gear absorb sweat and bacteria. Wash them regularly to avoid unpleasant odors and keep infections at bay.

6. Wipe Down Pads and Bags After Use

Sweat spreads bacteria. Always wipe down any shared equipment—whether it’s a heavy bag, pads, or mats—after use.

7. Wear Clean Clothes and Hand Wraps

Dirty training gear is a no-go. Make sure you’re always wearing freshly washed clothes and wraps to keep yourself and your teammates comfortable.

8. Bring a Towel to Class

A towel helps manage sweat and keeps the mats and equipment cleaner. Forgot one? We have disposable towels available for purchase at the front desk.

9. Remove Jewelry and Tie Back Long Hair

Jewelry can cause injuries and get in the way during training. Take it off before class. If you have long hair, tie it back to keep it out of your face and avoid accidents.

10. Cut Your Fingernails and Toenails Short

Long nails can scratch and cut your training partners. Keep them trimmed to prevent injuries during drills, clinching, and grappling.

By following these simple but crucial hygiene rules, we can all train in a safe, clean, and respectful environment. Let’s keep Pretty Top Team a place where everyone can focus on getting better—without distractions from bad hygiene!
